PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Responsibilities

Coordinate new product development (NPD) projects from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Maintain and organize all product documentation, including specifications, feasibility assessments (technical and financial), and basic manufacturing strategies.
Maintain project tracking tools and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones
Support the development of Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays in partnership with Sales and Marketing for key retail accounts.
Coordinates and over-sees 3rd party testing to support our claims. This includes requesting, collecting, sending samples, and following up with formal documentation of data.
Support for our customer service department, answering questions related to current and new products.
Assist with customer set-up documents by providing product specifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in design, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
5+ years' experience in product development, project coordination, or a related field.
Experience in a retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods environment is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, or similar platforms).
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
