Freelance Junior Copywriter

We are looking for a Junior Copywriter who is curious, collaborative, and excited to learn how great ideas are built. Someone who loves language, pays attention to culture, and wants to grow under strong creative leadership. Someone who is ready to contribute, ask smart questions, and get better with every single assignment. This is a freelance role with the chance of full-time employment after a review period.

What You Will Do

Support senior creatives in developing campaign concepts across brand, social, video, radio, OOH, and experiential.
Write headlines, social posts, scripts, and campaign elements with guidance and feedback.
Bring many thoughtful options to the table, not just one idea.
Participate in brainstorms and contribute ideas that move the work forward.
Revise quickly and thoughtfully based on feedback.
Partner closely with art directors and designers to bring ideas to life.
Stay curious and report about trends, platforms, and cultural moments that shape how brands show up.

What You Bring

1 to 3 years of agency, in-house, or relevant creative experience.
A portfolio that shows strong writing fundamentals and emerging conceptual thinking.
Solid understanding of social platforms and how tone shifts across them.
Attention to detail and respect for craft.
Comfort receiving feedback and using it to improve the work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to ask for clarity when needed.
A strong foundation of strategic thinking.
Ability to bring many options to creative presentations.

Who You Are

Based in New York City or the immediately commutable area.
Able to handle a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days a week, mandatory in-office attendance.
A trained creative with experience at ad school or a university advertising program.
Hungry to learn and eager to improve.
Not afraid to share ideas, even if they are not fully formed yet.
Open to feedback and resilient when work gets pushed.
Someone who treats every assignment, big or small, as an opportunity to get better.
Excited to build a career creating work that actually delivers for clients.
