Purpose of the Position:

To utilize AutoCAD Plant 3D software to support engineers by preparing layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams

Principal Responsibilities:

Model piping according to P&IDs, piping specifications, and best practices
Review vendor drawings and models to ensure they match intended design
Design layout of modular units (skids) for refineries and chemical plants with an emphasis on minimal field work and ease of access
Develop, review, and issue 2D Drawings such as orthographics (plans/elevations), and isometrics
Red line P&IDs as-designed and communicate with Process & Project teams to acquire any additional information

Required Qualifications:

5+ years working specifically as a piping designer
Ability to read, understand, and utilize process drawings
Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, ASME, NEC, PIP, etc.)
Experience with modular units (skids) design
Familiarity with OSHA requirements as they affect refineries
Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member
Experience with AutoCAD Plant3D
Experience with Navisworks Manage
Experience with "green field" facilities (as opposed to retrofits, brown field, turnarounds, etc.)
