Republic Investment Company is a commercial real estate-specialized family office founded in 1983, managing an active portfolio of over 25 properties, including hotels, offices, multifamily, and land. We specialize in value-add and distressed investments across major U.S. markets, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional returns by doubling principal investments within two to three years.

We are expanding our New York office and seeking a motivated Associate to join our team. This role will serve as a key support to the Vice President of Operations, contributing to the oversight, optimization and growth of our diverse real estate portfolio while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in asset management for our portfolio of commercial properties, including conducting property and site visits to assess conditions, performance, and opportunities for value enhancement.
Participate in design and development meetings, providing input on repositioning strategies for value-add and distressed assets.
Support project management initiatives, such as coordinating renovations, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
Oversee communications with internal teams, external stakeholders (e.g., property managers, vendors, partners, etc.), and ensure timely follow-up on operational matters.
Handle ad hoc tasks as needed, including financial analysis, due diligence on potential investments, and reporting on asset performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, finance, or a related field required.
1-3 years of relevant experience in real estate, asset management, operations, or a similar role (entry-level candidates with strong internships or related exposure encouraged to apply).
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and recommend actionable solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-starter mindset with a proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
Willingness to commit to in-person work in our New York City office, and to travel as needed.
