We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work on-site at our Grand Rapids, MI. location with a customer service attitude and a positive personality. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.

Primary responsibilities:

· Manage multiple product launches and assist in creative problem solving to achieve desired results for quality, cost and delivery

· Develop and manage action plans within launch system necessary to meet customer needs

· Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of a product launch from kick-off to start-of-production

· Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs to achieve established goals in quality, cost and delivery performance

· Review new part launch quality issues and develop/support corrective actions

· Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, through thorough analysis, effective delegation, sound judgement and timely decision making

· Manage and execute on customer requests (i.e. tooling refurbs, annual revalidation, capacity verification, supplier changes)

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in technical related field preferred or equivalent work experience

· 5 years minimum experience working directly with OEM and/or Tier 1 Automotive customers

· 5 years minimum experience in Project Management

· High level of proficiency in MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

· Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA)

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

· Strong knowledge of engineering principles, including GD&T strategies

· Experience in metal stamping and welding industry a plus

· Passion and discipline to develop and follow well defined procedures.

· Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making.

· Self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, honest and accurate method in both an oral and written manner.

· Dedicated to teamwork and putting the value of team success before individual interest.
