Job Summary
As a Plastics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and manufacturing of plastic products. You’ll leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering and chemical engineering to innovate and optimize processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Your contributions will drive product development and enhance manufacturing efficiency while adhering to industry standards.

What you’ll do

Design and develop plastic components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to meet project specifications.
Conduct research and development activities to explore new materials and processes in plastics engineering.
Oversee project scheduling to ensure timely completion of product development milestones.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in fabrication.
Perform laboratory experiments to test material properties and product performance.
Analyze data collection results to inform design improvements and manufacturing practices.
Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards in all engineering projects.

Basic qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics blow molding and injection molding processes.

Preferred qualifications

Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience in quality control methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques relevant to plastics engineering.
Background in research & development related to new plastic products or materials.

Pay: $81,505.54 - $98,157.21 per year
