Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled full-time, in-house Backend Web Developer to join our team and support an established eCommerce website. This role involves developing new features, refactoring legacy code, debugging, and maintaining performance on a live production site.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend functionality using PHP, PDO, and MySQL
Optimize existing codebase and markup for performance and scalability
Collaborate with internal teams to plan and deliver high-quality features
Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery
Write clean, well-documented, and secure code
Integrate with third-party REST APIs and external libraries

Required Qualifications:

Proficient in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Expert knowledge of PHP and PDO
Deep understanding of MySQL, including Views and Triggers
Experience using xDebug for debugging
Strong understanding of cURL
Experience using Git
Familiarity with third-party libraries and integrations
Solid experience with jQuery and jQuery AJAX
Proven eCommerce development experience is required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
