Application Services - Remote (U.S. Based)
Our Application Services team has an opportunity to join team members of an agile development process. Our
DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design and implementations of applications' build, release, deployment, and configuration activities. They will also work with internal business partners to gather requirements, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing operations, and triaging and fixing operational issues. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
We are looking for someone who can adjust to constant business changes, including new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies. Our Engineers can interact, develop, engineer, and communicate collaboratively at the highest technical levels with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of CBN staff.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:- A bachelor's degree in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in applications, systems, or IT operations
- Broad technical understanding of operation systems and other platform software
- Broad understanding of content and content organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and other media communication skills
- Integrative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and be an effective member of a team
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective rapport with all levels of CBN staff and outside public
- Experience with administering document, content, and asset management software including SharePoint and/or Alfresco preferred
- Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission
