Job Summary
The Graphic Artist creates or modifies art to meet the customer’s requirements for applications on various styles and types of apparel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes Other Duties As Required)
- Processes work orders from Customer Service to create or modify artwork.
- Determines the sizes and specifications for artwork for designated garments.
- Send sample images to clients for approval, offering creative insights and recommendations where necessary to enhance the design.
- Preps the art for the screen-printing and heat transfer department.
- Updates computer system with files and images of approved artwork.
- Create sales sheets and mock-up documents for customers who re-sell graphic packets.
- Develop concepts and designs for catalog templates, flyers and other sales materials.
- Creates web ready images for customer use.
- Continuously seek process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to produce tailored designs for internal communications and promotional campaigns, utilizing artistic freedom to create content that resonates with target audiences.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to continually evolve design techniques and styles, ensuring that all work is relevant and visually compelling.
- Other tasks may be assigned during slower periods.
Skills/Qualifications/Education/Licenses & Certifications

- Associates degree or higher in graphic arts, graphic design or comparable.
- 2+ years of design experience.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to develop images and designs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Excellent phone and email etiquette when working with customers.

- Ability to constantly use a computer keyboard/mouse/monitor to enter data (repetitively).
- Ability to endure occasional movement bending, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level as needed for daily tasks.
- Occasionally climb stairs to multi-level work site.
- Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
