Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with deep AS9100 expertise to join our team. This role requires advanced skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, creating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs/FAIs), and ballooning drawings to develop inspection plans using Discus software. This is a high-skill, independent role where immediate productivity is required — training will not be provided.Key Responsibilities:

Perform quality engineering activities in compliance with AS9100 standards.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings with a high level of accuracy.
Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs/FAIs) in accordance with customer and industry requirements.
Balloon engineering drawings to develop inspection plans using Discus software.
Ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
Identify, document, and resolve quality issues to maintain product conformance.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards.

Required Experience:

Proven AS9100 quality engineering background.
Extensive experience creating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs/FAIs).
Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency in ballooning drawings to create inspection plans (Discus preferred).

Nice-to-Have Experience:

Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Discuss software proficiency.
Manufacturing process knowledge.
