Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic Integrated Marketing & Design Manager to join our team full-time on-site in Los Angeles. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, design, and creative strategy. The person in this role will ideate, design, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, events, and creative projects that showcase our artists and expand Tappan’s reach.
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong graphic design skills who can translate ideas into impactful visuals and campaigns, while also thriving in the executional details of project management. This person will play a pivotal role in growing Tappan’s visibility, attributed revenue, and—most importantly—advancing the careers of the artists we represent.
Responsibilities
- Concept, design, and execute engaging marketing campaigns across email, SMS, web, and print.
- Collaborate with our social media and artist management team to build engaging content that celebrates artists’ practices and educates collectors on art
- Develop creative assets (graphics, layouts, digital templates, event collateral) that align with Tappan’s brand and showcase artist work.
- Partner with the marketing, sales, and curatorial teams to concept and manage gallery activations, pop-ups, and special events.
- Lead campaign and event project management, from ideation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and cohesive storytelling.
- Manage and optimize marketing channels to drive engagement and revenue.
- Collaborate with artists to produce compelling narratives and content that support their professional growth.
- Analyze campaign performance, report on KPIs, and use insights to refine strategies.
- Develop and implement innovative digital and in-person storytelling strategies that enhance audience engagement and elevate appreciation for contemporary art and the artists represented by Tappan.
Qualifications
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with AI platforms (MidJourney, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Proven experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns (email, SMS, social, events).
- Knowledge of Klaviyo and Attentive platforms, with an eagerness to learn and optimize performance.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand and artist narratives.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with experience measuring channel performance and campaign ROI.
- Experience in art, design, fashion, or interior design a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field.
