Sales Manager Overview
Join Hotel Gettysburg, a boutique, historic landmark in the heart of downtown, by targeting corporate and association group markets. You’ll blend the hotel’s storied past with modern sales strategy—building value-based relationships, shaping market mix, and delivering memorable planner and guest experiences from first touch to post-event follow-up. You’re a proactive prospector, client focused and trusted advisor: organized, goal oriented, and confident negotiator in terms that work for both clients and the hotel.

What You’ll Do
- Own Corporate & Association Group Segments: Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts in order to maximize revenue.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve 100% of group sales revenue goals through individual and team efforts. Maintain a deep understanding of group pace and future group need areas.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Events, Operations, and Marketing on promotions, collateral, and on-property execution consistent with boutique brand standards.
- Market Research: Maintain knowledge of competitive set. Analyze market data and implement strategy to achieve property’s financial room and catering goals.
- Community & Industry: Represent the hotel on sales calls, FAM trips, entertainment events, and at regional industry events/tradeshows to build demand and visibility.
- Client Relationships: Building and developing relationships with key accounts, including corporate meeting planners.
- Client Experience: ensure an exceptional planner and guest journey; manage proposals, contracts, and communications with speed and accuracy.
- Leadership: Ability to encourage and lead by example
- CRM Discipline: keep clean, current records and traces in the sales system (Delphi/Salesforce) manage expenses and partner coordination. Track all sales activities including goal-to-current production status.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in hotel/hospitality sales; corporate transient and/or association group experience preferred.
- Prior success selling boutique/historic or upper-upscale brand hotels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Excel), CRM/S&C (Delphi/Salesforce/CI-TY or similar); familiarity with Cvent and RFP platforms.
- Proven prospecting and closing ability, strong negotiation and presentation skills, excellent written/verbal communication.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
