Key Responsibilities:

Assess current IT infrastructure, identify areas for optimization, and recommend improvements in line with Schaeffler’s global standards and future roadmap.
Design, implement, and manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and virtualization platforms.
Consult with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and propose infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs and cybersecurity policies.
Lead or support projects for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
Collaborate closely with global Schaeffler IT teams and external vendors to implement best practices and align with corporate standards.
Maintain documentation for designs, configurations, procedures, and training.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, providing guidance on their applicability within Schaeffler.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure consulting, engineering, or administration.
Expertise in designing and managing physical and virtual infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Solid experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
Strong knowledge of networking principles (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global/team environment.
