Position Summary:
The Plant Regen Engineer promotes the value and priority of safety and quality throughout the McAlester plant. The incumbent provides support to the Production Manager in overseeing operations of the Regen Units, WWTP and provide Maintenance guidance. The individual will work closely with vendors and outside contractors for design and implementation of capital improvements throughout the McAlester facility. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing existing procedures as well as proposing and implementing changes along with training on those changes in the appropriate departments.
Essential duties and Responsibilities
· Pre-approve job orders and work in partnership with Customer Service in requesting them to correct and noted inconsistencies.
· Works in conjunction with Production Manager, Customer Service, Warehouse Manager and Plant Administrator to ensure all orders are processed in compliance with quality plans that include order specifications, workbooks, quality plans, and final packaging specifications.
· Attend and participate in meetings and planning sessions that involve Plant operations. These meetings include, but are not limited to: daily production meeting, weekly safety meeting, and bi-weekly production planning meeting.
· Maintains constant communication with Customer Service, Sales on status and progress of jobs.
· Be a key contributor in working with Plant Management team on unit utilization for optimizing production, while working to complete all orders as required.
· Complete Material Balances in a timely manner and ensure that any issues or questions are answered and resolved.
· Works with accounting team to finalize monthly utility usage.
· Will be an author and/or, key contributor in written processes and procedures at the Plant.
· Works very closely with Shift Supervisors, Operators and Maintenance daily, and provide support with technical troubleshooting within the plant.
· Interact with other Plant Engineers, Production Manager, Lab Supervisor and Operators to analyze production parameters, lab analysis and data to both resolve technical issues and improve production.
· Uses project management and engineering principles to determine and make appropriate improvement recommendations.
· Be a coordinator and key contributor on special projects and capital projects as assigned.
· Works closely with training coordinator to evaluate training effectiveness and present training recommendations.
· Evaluate Preventive Maintenance practices and processes and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to modify them as required with the objective of improving productivity and quality.
· Update OEE’s for regen units in a timely manner accurately.
· Maintain a visible daily presence throughout the plant in order to observe behaviors and detect areas that need improvement.
· Driver in plant safety behavior by observing, correcting, and re-enforcing behaviors as appropriate.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Plant Regen Engineer will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
· Associate’s degree or higher in engineering or technical field.
· Maintenance experience and preferably some PLC and controls experience
· Technical writing skills.
· Math and statistics skills.
· Analytical skills.
· Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
· Computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Suite, Outlook
· Experience in ISO9001 & 14001 a plus.
