Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine accounting functions:
- Bank reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations including reviewing entries for proper recording and application of cash
- Account reconciliations: Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Update existing workpapers or create new workpapers as needed including variance explanations;
- Intercompany transactions: Provide support in recording intercompany transactions including compiling data and performing calculations used to determine amounts owed between companies
- Tax schedules: Assist the tax manager with supporting schedules to support information reported on the company’s tax returns. Assist with the preparation of and issuance of Form 1099s.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable: Serve as backup to processing employee expense reports, vendor invoices and customer invoices;
- Revenue: Review contracts and apply company revenue recognition policies to contracts;
- Processes: Identify and implement process improvements for accounting procedures;
- Financial close: Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with the preparation of month-end financial reports;
- Research: Research reconciliation differences and multiple issues as they arise;
- General accounting responsibilities: Additional responsibilities will include management reports, auditor inquiries, budgets and other special projects and reports; and other related duties as assigned
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field
- Two or more years prior accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel preferred)
- Experience with accounting systems
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and follow instructions
- Ability to plan in order to accomplish goals
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers
- Excellent organizational, written and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information
- Advanced knowledge of accounting procedures, consistently seeks for process improvements and automation
- Ability to work and interact with personnel at all levels within the organization
- Knowledge of industry related concepts and terminology
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with significant competing deadlines
- Able to grasp processes and concepts quickly and resolve issues
- Basic knowledge of GAAP requirements preferred

Compensation
Base salary: $70,000.00-95,000.00. Eligible for discretionary bonus and equity grants, based on skills, experience, and location.
