In full expansion, the diversity of our projects makes our versatile and dynamic team focused on personalized service to our customers. dIREKTION 360 is currently looking to fill the position of Plumbing Designer / Engineer in its office located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Remote work might be available for the right candidate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate should be self-motivated and have attention to detail and an initiative to deliver high quality technical designs for buildings. The candidate will be responsible for the design of plumbing systems for residential, commercial and educational projects, including but not limited to:
- Produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT and prepare architectural background setups.
- Design plumbing systems (sanitary, stormwater, grease waste drainage, domestic water, propane and natural gas, etc.) including all associated details, risers, isometrics, and specifications.
- Perform system design calculations and equipment selections.
- Coordinate with other professional disciplines (architectural, civil, structural, etc.) to ensure there are no conflicts in the proposed design.
- Assist in Construction Administration tasks, including technical review of RFIs and shop drawings, field reviews and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of relevant experience in plumbing engineering for building design is preferred, but recently graduated and junior engineers are also welcome to apply.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the applicable codes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and knowledgeable in REVIT.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Rigor, sense of initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an office and/or remotely as needed.
- English proficiency is a must (Spanish is a plus).
