Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Onsite – Gainesville, TX
Reports to: Plant Manager
Position Summary:
As a Process Engineer you will serve as the site expert for plant technical operations. You will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively address and resolve process and equipment challenges. Your expertise will drive operational efficiency, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure production targets are met safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of plant equipment and processes to become a subject matter expert (SME); assist in the creation and improvement of operating procedures and training programs.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and quality control.
- Monitor and analyze key process indicators to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Participate in hazard analyses and assist with the development and implementation of capital project scopes.
- Prepare and review scopes of work, cost estimates, project schedules, and technical specifications for equipment.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and design packages, making informed decisions based on functionality, cost, and project timelines.
- Support the introduction of new products and technologies in partnership with global R&D and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with fellow process engineers across the organization to share best practices and support improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline is required.
- Up to 5 years of professional experience; minimum of 3 years of relevant process engineering experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of process design, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
