What You’ll Do in This Role
As a Homzie Designer, you’ll lead clients through our signature virtual design process — from project kickoff to final presentation. You’ll create beautiful, client-centered room designs (in 2D or 3D) and communicate clearly and compassionately via email and video. You'll stay organized and manage your clients through our project management system. You’ll provide shopping links for curated furniture and décor recommendations and collaborate with our internal team to create swoon-worthy, magazine-ready designs.
What Makes a Great Homzie Designer
- You’re passionate about interior design and committed to creating a personal, elevated experience that clients can’t stop talking about.
- You have professional interior design experience (or comparable work with clients). A degree in interior design is strongly preferred.
- You’re confident with 3D rendering tools and are tech-savvy, quick to learn, and highly proficient in working online.
- You thrive as a self-motivated, independent designer but value collaboration, feedback, and being part of a supportive team.
- You’re confident presenting to clients via video, and you bring a problem-solving mindset to each project, always pushing your creativity.
- You’re skilled in a wide range of design styles and have a natural ability to interpret and deliver on a client’s preferred design aesthetic.
Additional Details
- Homzie Designers are Independent Contractors who run their own businesses, provide their own tools and software, and create their own schedules.
- Designers must have equipment that supports video calls, 3D renderings, and editing tools like Photoshop.
- Homzie maintains a Quality Level Agreement with designers to ensure professional standards and quality control.
- Designers are paid per completed project and work 100% remotely. We are currently hiring in most areas of the U.S.
- We are looking for designers who can dedicate 30+ hours to design work a week and are comfortable juggling multiple client projects at once.

- Video Submission: Next, you'll show us your personality and present space planning options for a sample client through a brief video submission.
- Mock Client Project : We'll give you a sample design brief and ask you to complete sample 2D and 3D design deliverables.
- Zoom Interview At this point, we're pretty obsessed with you! This interview is a vibe check and an opportunity for you to ask questions and get to know us and our process better.
- You're Hired: We'll get you onboarded with the help of our video training course to get you ready to take your own Homzie virtual design clients.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.50 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
