Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in
Huntsville, AL to support LRHW Program Production Operations (Prod Ops). The selected candidate will have the opportunity to support electro/mechanical structure assembly, integration and test (AI&T) operations.
This position may require some travel and support to other manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Support the team for shop floor support, maintaining manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within an electrical/mechanical manufacturing facility.
- Leading the technical team daily to meet engineering requirements, schedule and cost commitments, providing production status to leadership.
- Designing manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Designing of machine layout within plant facilities to ensure most efficient production capabilities.
- Creating procedures and operations for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Writing production planning, inspecting and assessing defective hardware, and optimizing production flow to meet program deliverables.
- Interfacing with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements to gain efficiencies and represent manufacturing in peer reviews of engineering drawings to enhance the design for manufacturability.
- Tool design, analysis of shop performance, and supporting Quality Assurance in determining Cause and Corrective Actions for process-related defects.
