We’re looking for a driven and passionate Junior Marketing Specialist to support both brands in executing campaigns, building brand awareness, and driving customer engagement across digital and retail channels.
Job Summary: The Junior Marketing Specialist will support the Sierra Bullets and Barnes Bullets marketing teams by assisting with campaign execution, digital content creation, social media management, event support, brand communications, and more. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated marketer who is eager to grow their career in the outdoor and shooting sports industry. The Junior Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging, engage with our loyal customer base, and help drive awareness and sales for two of the most respected names in ammunition.
Essential Functions of the Job:
· Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for Sierra and Barnes, including digital, social, email, print, and event marketing.
· Support e-commerce initiatives with product listings, promotions, and content updates.
· Help manage social media channels (content planning, posting, community engagement, analytics).
· Coordinate with internal creative teams and external partners to deliver marketing assets on time.
· Conduct competitor research and market analysis to inform campaign strategies.
· Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics.
· Support trade show and event planning, including booth coordination, promotional materials, and onsite logistics.
· Assist with copywriting for product launches, newsletters, blogs, and press releases.
· Maintain brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
Skills & Knowledge Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Required:
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (social media, email marketing, basic SEO/SEM).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
- Knowledge of shooting sports, hunting, or outdoor recreation industry.
- Familiarity with website CMS (e.g., WordPress, BigCommerce, Shopify) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Photography or video editing skills.
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
