Job Summary
As a Website Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing, editing, and maintaining web pages and applications across our company's portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement A/B tests and personalized experiences, driving optimization of website content and functionality. Your proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges, coupled with your ability to manage the entire request lifecycle, ensures the timely delivery of high-quality web experiences. Additionally, you'll provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and seek out innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, ultimately contributing to the ongoing success of our web initiatives and organizational objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Develop, edit, and maintain web pages and applications for current and upcoming sites within the Travel + Leisure portfolio, ensuring alignment with brand standards and user experience goals. (35%)
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Creative, Technology, Brand, and Business Development to implement A/B tests and targeted personalization experiences, optimizing website content and functionality. (20%)
· Lead the execution of requests across departments, from initial concept to final implementation, while proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges. (15%)
· Manage the entire operational request lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing and launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality web content and features. (10%)
· Provide technical support and troubleshoot content development and release issues, ensuring the stability and functionality of web properties. (10%)
· Proactively seek out and implement technical solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of content updates and user experiences. (5%)
· Perform additional duties as required to support the ongoing success of web initiatives and organizational goals. (5%)
Education
· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.in Graphic Design, Multi-Media, Business, Journalism, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or Marketing) required.
Knowledge and skills
· Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication, adept at crafting tailored messages for diverse audiences with strong attention to grammatical accuracy.
· Capacity to efficiently oversee multiple projects across various stages and budgets, ensuring timely progression and resource allocation.
· Exceptional ability to work rapidly without compromising accuracy, maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks and deliverables.
· Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, driving project success.
· Highly organized with a track record of holding others accountable for meeting project milestones and deadlines, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
· Agility in prioritization and adaptability to swiftly respond to changing priorities and environments, ensuring optimal project outcomes in dynamic settings.
Technical Skills
· Proficient in Content Management Systems (CMS), with a preference for experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), ranging from intermediate to advanced levels.
· Skilled in HTML and CSS, with an intermediate to advanced proficiency level, ensuring the ability to create and modify web content effectively.
· Familiarity with reading and interpreting JSON, APIs, and JavaScript languages, enabling seamless integration and customization of web features and functionalities.
· Knowledgeable in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, facilitating efficient project management and collaboration within dynamic development environments.
· Strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, guiding strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Basecamp, VersionOne, etc., enabling effective project tracking, communication, and collaboration.
· Experienced in project management and estimation, adept at accurately assessing and allocating resources (time and cost) for successful project execution.
· Proficient in utilizing debugging tools to facilitate seamless content deployment and troubleshooting processes, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues and maintenance of web functionality.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite, facilitating efficient communication, documentation, and collaboration across various platforms.
· Familiarity with digital ADA compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards and inclusive web design principles.
· Knowledge or certification in SEO practices is advantageous, contributing to optimized website performance and visibility.
Job experience
· Two (2) years of web producer/development experience.
