ABOUT KALEIDOSCOPE

From iHeartPodcasts to Google to Walter Isaacson, our shows bring clarity to complexity and reimagine how science and technology are communicated in the 21st century.
Backed by world-class investors and collaborators, we’re scaling a category-defining brand that reaches millions — and we’re looking for a strategic leader to help us do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with Kaleidoscope’s founders and executive team during a pivotal stage of growth. As our Strategy & Operations Manager, you will serve as a force multiplier across strategy, operations, partnerships, and internal execution. You’ll bring clarity to chaos, momentum to priorities, and structure to a fast-moving organization.
This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive operator who thrives in early-stage environments, knows how to drive outcomes without formal authority, and is excited to help scale a company shaping the future of media and science communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Support founders in setting, aligning, and tracking key company priorities
- Drive special projects and workstreams across verticals (e.g., partnerships, monetization, new formats)
- Own the preparation of board updates, investor memos, and internal strategic documents
- Build, update & maintain financial models, annual plans and other mission-critical documents
Business Development & Partnerships
- Support sales and branded content efforts by crafting collateral and helping vet and pursue new opportunities
- Coordinate and prep for high-stakes external meetings (with brands, platforms, VCs, advisors, etc.)
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform pitches, proposals, and strategic decisions
Operational Infrastructure
- Implement and refine tools for project management, team productivity, and internal communication
- Help coordinate cross-functional priorities across departments (production, marketing, legal, finance)
- Lead high-importance org-building projects (e.g., hiring, office space, operational roadmaps)
Founder Enablement
- Act as a thought partner to the CEO and COO; help identify bottlenecks and bring solutions
- Attend and synthesize key meetings; follow through on decisions and track execution
- Ensure that internal priorities stay aligned with the company’s broader mission and growth goals
YOU’D BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...
- Have 3–5 years of experience in consulting, investing, media, early-stage startups, or founder-facing roles
- Are a systems thinker who loves structure — but can operate without it
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Are curious about the world, excited by ideas, and passionate about content that matters
- Thrive in ambiguity and love being a utility player in a mission-driven company
BONUS POINTS FOR...
- Prior experience working closely with C-level execs or startup founders
- Familiarity with media, podcasting, or creator ecosystems
- Comfort managing decks, docs, CRM tools, and collaborative platforms (Slack, Notion, Airtable, etc.)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Kaleidoscope is on a mission to change how the world understands science — and as Strategy & Operations Manager, you’ll be at the center of that transformation. You won’t just observe strategy being made — you’ll help shape it, execute it, and build the infrastructure that powers the company forward.
