Job Responsibilities And Duties
This position will provide technical support for the daily plant operations and metallurgical performance for the concentrator and surface facilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, safe work practices, good housekeeping, and a strong safety culture
- Monitor process parameters and develop methods and procedures to improve overall process efficiencies
- Maintain and administer parts of the safety and environmental compliance programs
- Perform baseline studies to make recommendations and assist in design, costing, installation and start-up of plant modifications
- Coordinate with outside technical consultants to maintain and improve the overall plant performance
- Assist with operator training and implement training programs
- Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual production and metallurgical reports
- Control reagent and consumable inventories and compile usage data
- Coordinate production with the operation and maintenance departments
- Laboratory skills related to metallurgical testing of plant samples and raw feed samples
Required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Leadership qualities including: character, teamwork, communications, business sense, and vision
- Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and word processing with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
- Knowledge of process control and instrumentation
- Metallurgical simulation program experience
- Experience with plant process control instrumentation, such as, particle size analysers, on stream assayers, belt scales, etc.
- Auto-Cad experience
Education & Experience
- BS in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or relevant degree and 1 to 4 years of relevant technical experience at a metallurgical processing facility

Salary: $81300.00 - $95200.00 per year
