Residual is a carbon removal project developer, working with large industrial partners to transform biogenic waste into high-value carbon removal projects. As the voluntary carbon market shifts toward high-integrity removals, Residual designs and delivers projects end-to-end — securing feedstock, deploying technology, and providing offtake-ready credits to corporate buyers.
Founded by Ted Christie-Miller (former Director of Carbon Removal at BeZero Carbon) and Dr. Laura Fritsch (Co-Founder of Oka, the first full-stack carbon credit insurance company), Residual brings together deep expertise in carbon markets, project development, and credit sales.
We are hiring a Founder’s Associate focused on commercial growth to work directly with our co-founders. This role sits at the heart of our dealmaking, partnerships, and fundraising. You will help drive conversations forward with buyers, investors, and developers, and make sure opportunities turn into results.
What You’ll Do
This is a front-row seat in building a company. As Founder’s Associate, you will be in the thick of our growth, sitting in investor meetings, supporting deal flow, and helping us open new doors. The work will be broad, fast paced, and high stakes.
Whilst not an exhaustive list, you will:
- Keep our deal and investor pipelines watertight so nothing slips through the cracks
- Shape investor materials, case studies, and decks that help us close opportunities
- Scout and secure high-value events and speaking slots to put Residual on the map
- Build and grow your own network in the market, representing the business externally
- Help build the company’s digital communications strategy

Compensation
Salary range: $50k-$90k (dependent on experience)
