As the Business Operations Manager for Meta’s Metaverse organization, you will manage the business operations across multiple teams, working closely with leadership to help them grow, scale and run the business effectively. You will manage strategic initiatives ranging from business operations, process improvement, objectives and key results, headcount growth, and employee engagement programs, enabling our team to execute and innovate at speed. Candidates should have keen focus on driving business results, experience working in ambiguous environments, and a willingness to collaborate and optimize overall business objectives. They thrive in and enjoy a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment, love problem solving, and working on high profile projects. Metaverse is part of the Reality Labs organization, that focuses on creating innovations with advanced capabilities that are essential for the next generation of computing platforms.
Business Operations Lead, Metaverse Responsibilities:
- Drive cross-functional organization-wide initiatives such as budget planning, goal setting, and organizational transformation projects
- Partner with organization leaders to define and track objectives and key results
- Lead projects to create business value, aligning multiple stakeholders
- Influence leadership teams, by providing recommendations backed by data
- Prepare dashboards and reports for stakeholders and team members to drive transparency and track improvement
- Leverage cross-functional relationships to drive company-wide touch-points and leadership processes
- Work with leadership to track progress on strategic projects and deliverables, build decision-making frameworks, and ensure deliverables are on-track
- Develop streamlined processes and mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and communication
- Manage and facilitate key leadership meetings
- Build high quality documents and presentations as needed
- Own high-value programs that directly support the team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience with program management, project management, strategy, management consulting, or operations
- 2+ years of experience supporting executives, director level and above as a program manager or Chief of Staff
- Experience operating autonomously and in a highly organized fashion to track top organization priorities, identify efficiencies and drive alignment across teams
- Experience building presentations in Keynote and/or PowerPoint and compiling briefing materials
- Experience project managing multiple tasks under tight timelines and shifting priorities
- Experience drafting long and short form leadership communications, working closely with communications teams
- Experience working within or with a product development/engineering organization
- Demonstrated experience anticipating and recognizing problems, suggesting alternatives or solutions, initiating or implementing solutions, and following through independently
- Experience motivating and focusing a group of people/organization to reach challenging goals
- Experience working with technical management teams to help develop processes and solutions
- Experience navigating business structures while maintaining confidentiality and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in business, finance, or engineering
- Experience in product strategy, hardware, devices, and/or working with creators or developers
- Consumer products experience in an engineering, financial, project management, or operational capacity
- Experience leading small teams or individual contributors
