Generalist Engineer (Full-Stack, Data/AI)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: On-site (Candidates must be living in New York within 2 months of hire)

About The Role

Our client, Structify, is an early-stage AI company backed by leading investors including Bain Capital and 8VC. Their mission is to be "every enterprise's data team" by building a platform that ingests internal and external information, allowing non-technical users to query their data and get deep insights using AI agents. This goes well beyond simple RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.

They are seeking a Generalist Engineer with a strong background in systems and algorithms to work across the full stack. This person should be excited to quickly learn and adapt, taking ownership of complex technical challenges in a startup environment.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain core product features across the entire stack, which includes Rust, React, and Python
Take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions across the product
Develop and optimize systems for ingesting and processing various data types at scale
Work closely with a world-class team to democratize data access for enterprises

Requirements

2-4 years of experience in software engineering
Strong background in compiled languages (like Rust, Go, C++, etc.)
Excellent algorithmic and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working across a full stack and have a track record of quickly learning and adapting to new technologies
Bonus points for startup experience or a background in robotics or systems work

Benefits

Salary: $150K - $280K
Equity: 0.3% - 1%
