Work You'll Do
Strategy projects typically focus on identifying and building new sources of competitive advantage, increasing revenues, improving margin, and optimizing operations in service of driving growth. Our engagements frequently leverage our leading-edge scenario planning and futures thinking to help clients think through the long-term evolution of their industry and the implications for their business. You will work across industries and disciplines, both independently and collaboratively with a project team. You'll partner across our enterprise to bring the best of Deloitte to your clients.
Strategy Consultants will help our clients too:
- Synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions.
- Identify strategies for growth and value creation, leveraging methods and tools.
- Select the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
- Develop the appropriate business models, operating models, and capabilities to support their strategic vision.
- Maximize the ROI on technology investments and leverage technology and Cloud trends to architect future business strategies.
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, as well as coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs.
- Strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record + 2 years of consulting experience.
- Experience focused on Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Strategic Planning, Growth Strategy, Commercial Strategy, and Business Transformation.
- Experience collaborating with senior executives, crafting, and implementing strategies for growth and margin improvement at the corporate, business, or product level.
- Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and oral and written communication skills; outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Ability to work independently; influence others and lead teams focused on specific work streams of large projects.
- Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performed above expectations in professional roles.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte's consulting offices.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Ability to define trends across industries and articulate their impact on clients' business and strategic choices.
- Knowledge of or experience in broader G&A functions (i.e., HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Operations).
- Exposure to customer journey maps - must be able to understand customer journeys, consumer behavior, including engagement with digital channel.
- Basic understanding of the core digital technologies that underpin world class customer experiences (e.g., CRM, E-Commerce, Content Management).
- Experience creating road maps and detailed financial business cases for change.
- Experience and comfort in using analytical methods to create project analysis and recommendation support.
- Past experiences should include customer journey mapping, primary customer research, solution design, roadmap development, business case development.

This compensation range is specific to New York state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,800 to $148,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
