About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree
- Up to 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment (internships and co-ops welcome)
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Assembly and manufacturing processes
- Process documentation and routing
- Tooling and fixture design
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Primary Objective:
Support Tolomatic’s assembly operations by developing, documenting, and implementing efficient manufacturing processes across multiple product lines. This role provides hands-on engineering support to production teams, focusing on improving assembly line flow, resolving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement in quality, cost, and productivity.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to assembly operations to ensure smooth production and on-time delivery
- Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Design and implement tools, fixtures, and workstations that improve assembly efficiency and ergonomics
- Support Manufacturing Project Engineers in the implementation of new products and processes
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities using lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) to support new product introductions and ongoing production
- Collect and analyze production data to recommend cost-reduction and quality-improvement initiatives
