We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented financial professional for our Trading Analyst position. This position can be based at either our Sewickley (Wexford), PA or McMurray, PA office. This is a full-time position with a hybrid remote work opportunity.
This position is responsible for providing excellent service to our financial advisors and clients via equity, mutual fund, option, and bond trading. In addition to trading activities, this position allows the opportunity to grow into further areas and responsibilities within the firm.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Responsibility for monitoring the firm’s client accounts and ensuring proper allocation of securities
- Monitor portfolio position weights as compared to targets, highlighting deviations, and entering orders to rebalance portfolios in accordance to portfolio management’s views
- Responsibility for ad hoc requests from clients (ex. raising cash, spending contributions, etc.)
- Manage quarterly rebalancing in accounts where appropriate and in accordance with model parameters
- Review taxable account holdings on an ongoing basis to provide tax-loss harvesting where appropriate
- Participate in Portfolio Management meetings to understand how decisions impact the firm’s models
- Manage portfolio cash balances and ensure cash balances are consistent with product guidelines and current investment strategy
- Understand key operational workflows and processes for maximum portfolio management functionality
- Communicate effectively with team members and assume responsibility for outcomes
- Complete other duties that may be assigned by the manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented financial professional who is self-motivated with proven experience in meeting deadlines and completing precise tasks in an efficient manner. To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance and/or economics
- Strong familiarity with client record management (CRM) systems. Salesforce a plus!
- 2+ years’ experience in a financial industry position
- Ability to manage time and prioritize activities to achieve deadlines
- High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products
- Strong math skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Overall strong technological skills and familiarity with financial software
