Summary
The FP&A Analyst is responsible for providing critical financial insights through forecasting, modeling, and industry benchmarking. This role supports strategic decision-making by analyzing financial trends, evaluating capital projects, and identifying process improvements. By maintaining accurate financial projections and presenting relevant industry data, the position ensures the company’s financial strategies align with market trends and operational goals.

Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget.
- Develop and manage multi-year financial forecasts and evaluate capital project proposals, identifying potential risks.
- Support and maintain the integrity of financial reporting and budgeting tools.
Financial Analysis
- Provide monthly comprehensive financial analysis and strategic insights.
- Collaborate with department, operational management and cross-functional teams to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Enhance tracking mechanisms for sales pacing, lost business, and market trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively recommending adjustments to strategies.
- Accurately perform financial modeling, proposal evaluations, and project assessments to provide reliable data that informs key business decisions and supports strategic planning efforts.
- Drive operational excellence across FP&A by leading process improvements.
Financial Reporting
- Perform monthly actual vs. budget analysis with key departments as required.
- Utilize Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Endure industry benchmarking data is consistently maintained and thoroughly analyzed, offering actionable insights to stakeholders for operational and financial comparisons.
Other
- Provide support for creating board reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Entrance Requirements
- BA/BS in Finance, Business, or Accounting required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a financial analyst or related role
- Expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation methods (ROI, NPV, payback, etc.)
- Proficiency in finance and accounting software with strong data analysis skills
- Strong project management and independent decision-making abilities
- High confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial proposals
- Ability to collaborate effectively in teams or work independently.
Work Schedule
Standard business hours, with the understanding that schedules may vary based on operational needs. This may include occasional evenings, weekends, or travel, as required. Occasional travel to other MCCA facilities may be required.
All positions within the MCCA are designated as on-site roles. As such, this position requires in-person attendance five days per week. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not part of MCCA's operational model.
Dress Code
Business formal. Employees are expected to project dignity and decorum through professional dress and grooming.
Physical Requirements
This position primarily involves sedentary office work with frequent use of standard office equipment and occasional movement around MCCA facilities. The role may require attending off-site meetings and events and occasionally lifting or carrying materials up to 15 pounds.
