Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate expertise in manufacturing processes. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing facility.
Duties
- Design and implement manufacturing processes using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to enhance product design and functionality.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Develop project schedules to manage timelines effectively, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Oversee plastics injection molding processes, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Collaborate with the robotics team on robot programming to streamline assembly line operations and improve workflow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding, fabrication, tooling, and assembly processes.
- Experience with vision inspection systems for quality control is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and their application within manufacturing practices is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough analysis for process optimization.
