The Modern Monument builds beautiful, affordable headstones and memorials with craftsmanship and care — right from our Beavercreek location at 3491 Dayton Xenia Rd.
We’re looking for a creative person who’s eager to help tell our story, expand our online presence, and connect with people who are navigating meaningful moments.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow our social media channels (think Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, maybe TikTok) with posts that reflect our brand’s tone — honest, thoughtful, artisan-driven.
- Create and publish engaging content: photos of our monuments, behind-the-scenes of the craft, short videos or stories showing the design process, finished pieces, client testimonials.
- Collaborate with our team: designers, production, sales — to capture the “how we build and honor” narrative.
- Handle follower engagement: respond to comments/messages in a compassionate, professional way that aligns with the dignity of our work.
- Monitor social analytics, learn what’s working and what isn’t, and adjust content strategy accordingly.
- Stay on top of social media trends, tools, platform changes — help us keep our content fresh and relevant.
- Occasionally assist in on-site photography or video capture.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in social media, storytelling, and helping a brand grow.
- Solid writing, editing, and visual skills (you’ll be crafting captions, overseeing image-selection, maybe simple video edits).
- Familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud (or willingness to learn).
- An eye for design and tone — since our business is visually rich (granite, custom shapes, memorials) your visual storytelling matters.
- Eagerness to learn, self-motivation, good attention to detail.
- Bonus: Photography or video capture/editing skills; interest in craft/design; ability to visit our shop/production from time to time for shoot content.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
