Brunel is currently searching for an entry-level Metallurgist for direct hire with our client in Arizona.

As a Metallurgist, you’ll play a hands-on role in copper recovery, process optimization, and metallurgical testing—from wellfield to cathode.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct metallurgical test work and solution characterization to optimize copper recovery and process efficiency.
- Support lab-scale leaching and SX/EW trials to improve performance and cathode quality.
- Monitor plant operations, troubleshoot process challenges, and track key performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with operators, engineers, and technicians to ensure safe, consistent production.
- Prepare data summaries and technical reports for ongoing process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or related field).
- 2 years of experience in copper recovery, or SX/EW operations preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and safety.
- Comfortable working across lab, plant, and field environments.
- Eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a dynamic start-up environment.
- Safety focused, hands-on, team player.
- Preferred exposure to leaching or SX/EW operations through field work or research.
- Experience with process instrumentation, data loggers or control room systems.
- Experience with Excel, PI System, Capstone, or metallurgical mass balance tools.
- MUST BE eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
