We are currently seeking to appoint a Vice President of Corporate & Business Development for one of our clients based in Texas. Our client is a global leader in advanced materials and clean-energy technologies whose products are critical to the electrified, low-carbon economy, supplying essential materials that power electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, aviation and next-generation infrastructure.
Reporting directly to Executive Leadership, this is a strategic, high-impact leadership role responsible for defining and executing the company’s corporate and commercial growth agenda. The position will focus on expanding market presence, forging strategic partnerships, developing new customers, and driving cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a candidate with a strong financial background, someone who has spent around 10 years in investment banking, private equity, or another financial institution before progressing into senior business development or strategy roles within industry. The successful individual will combine analytical and commercial capability with the confidence to engage at the highest levels internally and externally.
Some of the key responsibilities are listed below:
- Develop and execute a unified corporate and business development strategy across multiple business units in close collaboration with senior leadership
- Build and execute a go-to-market strategy to identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships in high-value industrial and technology sectors
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with strategic customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Lead financial and strategic analysis to evaluate new business opportunities, pricing models, and market entry plans
- Provide data-driven insights and voice-of-customer feedback to guide product development and innovation activities
- Oversee commercial systems, CRM data, and reporting to ensure accuracy, visibility, and contract compliance
- Partner with Finance, Operations, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution
- Foster a collaborative, analytical, and performance-driven culture across the organization
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering, with an MBA, CFA, or similar advanced qualification considered advantageous. They will bring 10–15 years of experience spanning investment banking or corporate finance, combined with senior-level exposure to business development, strategy, or commercial leadership roles in industrial, manufacturing, or clean-tech environments. Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and executive relationship management capability are essential.
