Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Designer based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Designer will assist with the creation and development of lingerie and ready-to-wear collections. Responsibilities include sketching designs, creating technical packs, sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, fittings and ensuring adherence to production timelines. Some work-from-home flexibility is acceptable, but the candidate will need to be present at the office and showroom as required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a must
. CLO, procreate and miro a plus
- Experience in sketching and technical drawing
- Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and material sourcing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in fashion design or a related field is a plus
- Degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field preferred
