Project Overview
Support the design and startup of a new 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility serving as the material logistics hub for a premier aerospace and defense manufacturing organization.
The selected engineer will collaborate closely with Material Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, and Industrial Engineering teams to drive efficient layout, workflow, and process readiness during facility ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in warehouse layout and design, ensuring optimal flow of materials and personnel.
- Develop and document industrial processes and time studies to support lean operations.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, VSM, waste reduction) to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Support startup activities, including equipment setup, material flow validation, and process troubleshooting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish sustainable logistics and warehouse standards.
Required Skills
- CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Experience with process documentation and time observation.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across logistics and manufacturing disciplines.
- US Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
