Infrastructure Precast, Inc. is an equal opportunity at-will employer seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site role will be at our Beaver Dam, KY location and responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
- Design and implement tools, equipment, and systems to support production.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Support new product introductions and process validations.
- Maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Project management experience, preferred
- Certifications in PMP or Lean/Six Sigma, helpful.
Working conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Industrial plant setting with exposure to concrete, dust, and machinery.
- Candidates should be able to work in various environments.
- Standing for long periods of time with frequent movement through the plant.
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, or machinery, as applicable for the work being performed.
- Use of PPE (i.e. gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and/or ear protection).
- Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis, if required.
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks, as appropriate.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to work various work shifts and overtime, as required to meet project deadlines.
