Onyx Studio is looking for an energetic & motivated sales professional to fill a Sales + Design position. A seasoned sales expert with 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in our trade design industry. Duties include solid follow up, a strong sense of design, and project management from selection through completion: This includes but is not limited to: Client selection meetings, architectural plan take-offs, building estimates, sample deliveries/pick up, showroom upkeep and administrative needs. Architectural or Interior Design background a bonus.
Listed rate includes salary + commission with no cap on commission. Commission will increase as you establish yourself within this role. Great earning potential for strong performers + advantageous benefits. This is not a work from home position. In some but not all cases, training may include an initial position as a Project Assistant evolving to Sales/Design Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Product knowledge of 20+ vendors offering tile & stone products. This includes but is not limited to: uses/applications, standard & special installation guidelines, stock availability, lead times, and staying current with new product launches as well as current pricing.
- Read & comprehend Architectural Plans and complete take-offs using online software.
- Meet with Trade (Designer, Architect, Builder, Installer) or End-user (homeowner) to assist in product selection and design, documenting and detailing selections. Providing or procuring samples needed for selection/design.
- Detailed generation of new Projects in TeamWork and Quickbooks for upcoming estimating/ordering/tracking processes.
- Visit job sites for field measurements, determine specific details required basic or complicated applications with contractor, owner, or installer.
- Tracking samples/boards offered for specification, showroom upkeep, studio merchandising needs, and selection of appropriate displays for this market.
- Delivering and Picking up samples from client offices.
- Meet Contractor Bid Requests and/or delivery deadlines based on finish schedules.
- Create detailed, project specific Estimates and issue Payment/Deposit Requests upon approval.
- Software: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Quickbooks Online, TeamWork, and Square Take-off (Bluebeam/Revu/Revit is a Bonus.)
- Receive and inspect UPS/FEDEX and LTL shipments delivered to the studio.
- Follow Onyx Studio policies and procedures.
