PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new product development (NPD) projects from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Maintain and organize all product documentation, including specifications, feasibility assessments (technical and financial), and basic manufacturing strategies.
- Maintain project tracking tools and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones
- Support the development of Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays in partnership with Sales and Marketing for key retail accounts.
- Coordinates and over-sees 3rd party testing to support our claims. This includes requesting, collecting, sending samples, and following up with formal documentation of data.
- Support for our customer service department, answering questions related to current and new products.
- Assist with customer set-up documents by providing product specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years' experience in product development, project coordination, or a related field.
- Experience in a retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, or similar platforms).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
