The role
SoFi is seeking an Analyst to join our Transaction Development vertical within the Capital Markets team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across structured finance and loan sale transactions that support SoFi’s Loan Platform Business and Private Credit programs. The Analyst will play a critical support role in transaction development, investor engagement, and market analysis. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a deep understanding of structured finance, loan markets, and capital strategy within a fast-growing fintech platform.
What You’ll Do
- Support the execution of structured finance and loan sale transactions by coordinating data, materials, and communications across internal teams and external counterparties.
- Assist in preparing investor presentations, marketing materials, performance summaries, and transaction documentation for investor education and due diligence processes.
- Maintain and update internal databases that track investors, transaction activity, pricing levels, and market trends.
- Perform analytical support for deal pricing, investor allocations, and transaction performance tracking.
- Monitor capital markets activity and peer issuance to help inform team perspectives on market trends, spreads, and investor sentiment.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Data teams to compile inputs for forecasting and performance reporting related to loan sale and structured finance programs.
- Support the development of new funding or program structures by conducting research, organizing data, and preparing presentation materials for management review.
- Assist in tracking transaction economics and key performance metrics to inform execution strategies and post-trade analysis.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying ways to enhance reporting accuracy, investor communication, and data management efficiency.
What You’ll Need
- You will have recently graduated and your highest level of education is only a Bachelor’s Degree (Spring 2025 / December 2025 New Grads or within 1 year of graduation)
- You are available to start working immediately in January 2026
- No more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or similar technical field
- Strong interest in capital markets, structured finance, and financial technology, with a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic environment
- Excellent work ethic and eagerness to take ownership of projects and contribute to team goals
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with close attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suites (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets)
- Self-starter mindset with intellectual curiosity and the drive to develop expertise in capital markets execution and investor engagement
- Experience with Python, SQL, Snowflake, VBA and Tableau are a plus
