FINANCIAL CONTROLLER FOR POTEET CONSTRUCTION, INC.
Poteet Construction is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated financial controller to support our continued growth. Poteet Construction has been operating around Missoula, MT since 1987 and statewide since 2013. We are established as the Contractor of preference for Highway Safety, as well as additional work in, steel barrier placement, Design/Build projects and alternative contracting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· All aspects of weekly payroll and reporting
· Asset and depreciation record-keeping
· Job costing, including labor and materials detail
· Oversite of all bank accounts and reconciliations
· Close monitoring of cash flow and cash flow projections
· Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable oversite
· Management of any short-term or long-term liabilities
· Management of business insurance needs, including property, general liability, workers compensation, and surety
· Maintenance and enrollment of employee 401k plan
· Coordination with independent CPA for financial statement and tax return preparation
· Management of the company’s accounting software, Deltek/ComputerEase, for security, access and updates
· Supervision of Payroll Administrator, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerks
· Clear communication of financial data and position to the management team
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In depth knowledge of GAAP and financial statement disclosure requirements.
- Experience in understanding and preparing financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows
- Strong knowledge of construction job costing
- Understanding of WIP processes and schedules
- Knowledge and experience with electronic banking
- Ability to navigate complex business arrangements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other accounting analysis
- Ability to work independently and in communication with many employees working off-site
- Ability to lead and manage department staff members
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent, from an accredited university, preferred, but not rerquired
- Certified Public Accountant, preferred, but not required
Experience:
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
