About Civaris
Civaris is a Miami-based private investment firm that focuses on building and scaling human-capital-intensive businesses in the United States. In keeping with our focus on talent as the defining differentiator, we are expanding our team to support our next phase of growth.
We recognize human capital as a core driver of value creation and partner with subject matter experts, founders, and management teams to develop scalable, enduring organizations. We specialize in asset-light technical, business, and professional services platforms where people are the primary asset. We prefer opportunities that have exposure to themes such as Power & Infrastructure, Digital Transformation, and Workforce Solutions.
The Role
We are seeking an Associate to join our team in Miami and play an outsized role within the firm. The selection process is data-driven and highly structured, including multiple rounds with our senior leaders and Operating Partners. The anticipated start date for this role is in 2026.
The role requires more than modeling skill and attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who pairs analytical precision with leadership insight — someone who can assess the numbers, but also the people making them happen.
What You’ll Do
- Build and own detailed financial, operating, and valuation models to support capital decisions.
- Lead financial, commercial, operational, tax, legal, talent, and cultural due diligence.
- Prepare transaction memoranda, presentations, and legal documents.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly valuations and reporting memoranda, portfolio updates, firm letters, and business development materials.
- Develop investment theses and present recommendations to the firm’s Partners.
- Partner with portfolio company executives to monitor performance; assist in developing board and monthly reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and actionable insights to drive results.
- Travel as needed to portfolio companies, industry conferences, lender presentations, banker discussions, and diligence sessions.
- Monitor and maintain strategic relationships with key external stakeholders including bankers, lenders, business owners, potential acquirers, service providers, and other sponsors and advisors.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Civaris’s investment and operating processes that seek to drive value creation through human-capital excellence.
- Contribute to building and reinforcing the firm’s culture of integrity, discipline, transparency, and partnership.
- Support thematic strategy development, market mapping, and executive sourcing within our targeted business models and sectors.
Talents We Look For
We evaluate candidates not only on skills and experience, but on innate talents that are the most predictive of success in the role:
- Strategic Clarity: You connect the dots others miss and distill complexity into clarity. You prioritize what matters and move quickly toward actionable recommendations.
- Growth Orientation: You hold yourself to a high standard, learn fast, and thrive in environments that expect more. You’re driven by progress, not politics.
- Courage & Influence: You communicate with confidence, challenge assumptions respectfully, and keep momentum when others hesitate. You make things happen with others.
- Integrity & Optimism: You build credibility through integrity and follow-through. You elevate those around you and maintain positivity under pressure.
- Execution Intensity: You bring structure, precision, and a calm sense of urgency. You build systems that work, finish what you start, and translate insight into action.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or equivalent analytical roles.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic distinction.
- Proven accounting, financial modeling, and analytical capability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity about social and human capital, leadership, and organizational performance.
Why Civaris
- Direct exposure to the firm’s partners and portfolio company executives.
- Participate in high conviction, concentrated strategy where every decision matters.
- A culture that values collaboration, discipline, execution, and results over hierarchy.
- Structured mentorship and development from our senior team and world renowned leadership experts.
- Market leading compensation, including base salary, performance bonus, benefits, and general partner participation.
- Clear pathway to accelerated advancement for high performers, including an opportunity to receive ownership in the firm.
