We’re hiring a Business Development Analyst / Associate to help source and evaluate new platform and add-on investments through direct outreach to founders and CEOs. This is an outbound, relationship-driven role, ideal for someone energized by conversations, competition, and building long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Do
- Drive origination and pipeline-building across Edgewater’s target sectors
- Engage directly with business owners and executives to identify proprietary opportunities
- Support M&A execution for add-on acquisitions
- Manage CRM activity, research new markets, and coordinate with the investment team
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1 - 3 years in private equity deal origination, buy-side origination or business development
- Proven experience sourcing proprietary deals and contributing to closed transactions
- Intellectually curious, resilient, and process-driven
- Strong communication skills and high EQ
- Based in Chicago or willing to relocate
