Job Description: Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (On-site)
Type: Full-time / Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Reports to: Quality Manager (of either Santa Fe Springs or Carson location)

About The Role
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products conform to established quality standards and customer specifications. This position plays a key role in supporting Woojin IS America’s Quality Management System (QMS) by performing inspections, documenting results, and maintaining compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Verification
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and final assemblies to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Utilize precision measurement tools and testing equipment to assess product dimensions, functionality, and appearance
- Identify and document non-conformances; segregate and reject materials or products that fail to meet requirements
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection records, reports, and test data in accordance with QMS procedures
Process & Compliance Audits
- Audit production processes to verify traveler accuracy, documentation completeness, and adherence to customer hold points
- Support internal and external audits by providing objective evidence of inspection records, calibration certificates, and process documentation
Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve non-conformance issues
- Participate in root-cause analyses and contribute to corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
- Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and compile First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and Car History Books in support of customer submissions
- Assist with maintaining inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality records in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements
- Support other quality-related assignments as directed by management
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection or assurance in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience in electrical or mechanical assembly inspection preferred
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Skilled in using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and multimeters
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and QMS documentation requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $26.00 (based on experience)
