Your role as Principal or Partner - Commercial Strategy
Lead high-stakes strategic consulting engagements for biotech and pharma clients, from initial hypothesis through to board-level implementation
Act as a senior advisor to C-suite leaders across therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Rare Diseases, Cell & Gene Therapy, Neurology, and Immunology
Build and grow the West Coast practice from the ground up, with full P&L responsibility
Originate and close $2M+ in new revenue annually through both existing relationships and new client development
Establish the firm's presence across key biotech hubs including South San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Vancouver
Drive new thought leadership and shape go-to-market strategy for the practice's most forward-thinking service offerings
Deliver complex, multi-workstream projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction
Hire and develop a high-performing team of consultants, with a target of scaling to 20+ team members in three years
Represent the business externally through conferences, white papers, and high-profile industry forums
Experience and qualifications for the Principal or Partner role
Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MBA, MD, or similar)
8-15 years of life sciences strategy consulting experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a tier-1 or boutique consultancy
Proven leadership at the Principal or Partner level, including full P&L accountability
A portable West Coast network and client base (ideally $2M+ revenue potential)
Expertise across end-to-end commercialization including launch strategy, brand planning, and life cycle management
Deep knowledge of market access, including global pricing, HEOR, payer strategy, and contracting models
Strong project leadership experience, managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
Therapeutic expertise in at least two of the following: Oncology, Immunology, Rare Diseases, Neurology, Cell & Gene Therapy
A track record of developing IP, frameworks, or methodologies that have influenced internal or client best practices
