Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering team. Develops mechanical layout drawings and corrugating line layout drawings for our new product line; Assists with customer service troubleshooting phone calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales proposal layout drawings for all machines in the new product line.
- Perform technical calculations and gather information needed to complete sales layout drawings as well as final installation drawings.
- Minor production drawings (brackets, misc. parts).
- Miscellaneous drawings from any department at Fosber.
- Drawings for training and/or manuals.
- Create correspondence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Mechanical production and detailing of drawings from the mechanical manufacturing group.
- For Design, stay familiar with ancillary equipment providers and best practices

ii. Starch Kitchen and starch reservoirs
iii. Boiler room
CAD Department Work:
- Maintain all CAD related software.
- AutoCAD and some SolidWorks
- Understand all CAD related hardware and software configurations.
- Should be the “go to” person at Fosber for CAD related questions.
- If unable to answer questions, should be able to find outside resource with the answer.
- Staying current with CAD updates, trends and latest releases.
- Participate in CAD seminars and/or classes to stay current with technology.
Required Travel – Varied, typical maximum 30% (75 Business days):
- Installation measure up (for installation group).
- Mechanical design project (to survey the project in the field).
- Travel on layout design reviews with sales department to customer sites
- International visit to Fosber Headquarters (Lucca, Italy), possible travel to a field installation in Europe
Education and Experience requirements:

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in or related area
Experience:
X 3-5 years of prior related experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
