We have an immediate opening for a paralegal for the Firm's Fund Finance practice in our Charlotte, NC office. Our Fund Finance Paralegals help attorneys address the most challenging legal and business issues in their department. They enjoy a broad range of responsibilities, which center around providing support to Fund Finance attorneys throughout the loan transaction process, including, but not limited to, assisting with client intake, preparing simple loan documents under the supervision of an attorney (such as UCC financing statements, signature pages, and loan booking memoranda), aiding during the closing of the transaction by preparing and reviewing final closing documents, ordering lien searches, and managing the signature collection process (including through DocuSign). Also, they will support Fund Finance attorneys regarding daily requests. Combining their own skills with the state-of-the-art technology and the assistance of an administrative staff, our Paralegals help Cadwalader attorneys provide a superior level of legal representation.
Candidates should possess the following:
- 1-2 years of fund finance paralegal experience preferred
- Four year college degree and have a min. 3.0 GPA upon graduation
- Motivated and detail oriented with proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Availability/flexibility for overtime
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $67,000 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
