Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruiting an Assistant Designer for a luxury powerhouse in NYC. The Assistant Designer will collaborate closely with the Designer and RTW team to research, develop, and execute seasonal concepts that align with the creative vision and brand aesthetic. This role sits at the intersection of creativity and precision, supporting all aspects of the design process — from concept ideation to production-ready deliverables. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-driven environment and brings strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed design flats, pattern layouts, and tech packs, along with embellishment artworks using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Support design development by completing trim and hardware requests, and CAD color palettes for review and production.
- Assist in building and updating Menu Pages, design presentation boards, and preparing materials for internal and external meetings.
- Conduct trend research through online platforms, in-store visits, and vintage references to inform seasonal direction.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless translation of design intent through production stages.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience as an Assistant Designer or intern within Women’s RTW or Outerwear.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, including pattern making, sewing, and draping.
- Ability to build tech packs, render embellishment artwork, and produce clean technical and freehand sketches.
- Excellent eye for fashion trends, silhouettes, and materials — including hardware and leather.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player with strong initiative, communication, and follow-up skills.
