The Role
We are scaling rapidly and are looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team in San Francisco. You’ll play a key role in building our sales pipeline by identifying high-value potential customers, engaging them with personalized outreach, and qualifying opportunities for the wider sales team.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source new leads through outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, events / conferences, phone)
- Qualify inbound and conference-generated leads to build a healthy sales pipeline
- Research target accounts and personalize outreach to key decision-makers
- Book and coordinate discovery calls and product demos for our Account Executives
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to refine messaging and improve lead conversion
- Track and report activity and performance metrics
- Represent Marqo at industry conferences and events
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or a customer-facing role (AI, SaaS or tech experience a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Proactive, resilient, and motivated by hitting targets
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and developing creative approaches to engage prospects
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, Sybill, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- A genuine interest in AI and search technology
