Summary:
Prepare mailings and promotional materials for blood drive events. Support the Marketing & Community Relations Team with marketing, advertising, social media, and live events. Work is performed in accordance with Federal and state regulations, Blood Bank policies and procedures, and in compliance with direction provided by the Director of Donor Recruitment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & print blood drive promotional materials.
- Prepare and pack giveaways for blood drive events. Transport giveaways to donor services building.
- Manage giveaway inventory
- Print and deliver bulk mailings to the post office.
- Represent CPBB by welcoming and engaging with donors at blood drives, donor centers, health fairs, and community or company events.
- Coordinate mascot appearances and community event support.
- Perform administrative duties not limited to printing labels, proofreading distribution materials, processing mailings, scanning, laminating and filing.
- Develop and share creative ideas to express appreciation for employees and volunteers who support the local blood program.
- Capture and produce content – including photos, videos, interviews, and social media posts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, donors, donor chair people, visitors to the CPBB and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and directions
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate general office equipment and post machines
- Ability to multi-task and to perform work for multiple people
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work performed primarily in an office environment, with occasional time spent in warehouse or event settings.
- Local travel required for deliveries, events, and community outreach.
